Air-conditioned, ground floor
No stairs, no heat, a room that seats 45–55 with booths that keep a family together at one table.
Kund was built for families: North Indian families missing the food of home in 2003, and the South Indian families who joined them soon after. Two generations of one family have run it; two generations of yours can eat here.
No stairs, no heat, a room that seats 45–55 with booths that keep a family together at one table.
Paneer tikka and Dal Makhni for the vegetarians, tandoori chicken and mutton sheek kabab for everyone else.
The whole menu is cooked only in pure ghee and butter. Nothing artificial reaches the plate.
Lunch runs till 5:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday, so a late family lunch is never rushed.
Mild, buttery and familiar: the dishes on our menu that suit small appetites and cautious palates.
Twenty vegetarian handi dishes, three dals and twelve veg starters on the full menu.
For six or more, a WhatsApp message ahead keeps the booths together. Walk-ins are always welcome.
The same family, the same room and the same recipes for 23 years.
Dr S M Rao opened Kund in 2003; his daughter Suman runs it today with every recipe exactly as it was. That is the whole secret: nothing changes, so the meal you remember is the meal you get. How Kund started.

Walk-ins are always welcome. For birthdays, family dinners and tables of six or more, message us on WhatsApp.
